Appointments, Fees & FAQs

How to book with us, what to bring, and what an appointment costs. If anything here isn’t clear, our reception team is happy to help.

Booking an Appointment

You can book online through HotDoc, or call us on (02) 5133 9053. We offer both in-person and telehealth appointments.

Seeing you in person is usually best for your care, so most appointments are at our rooms in Phillip, though telehealth can be arranged if it suits you better; just ask our reception.

Treatment Room

If your visit includes care in our treatment room — such as dressings, wound care, or a procedure with one of our nurses — a treatment room fee may apply in addition to your consultation fee.

Paying and Claiming Your Rebate

Fees are payable at the time of your consultation. If you’re eligible for a Medicare rebate, our reception can lodge the claim for you straight afterwards, so it’s returned to your account.

Common Questions

Olika is a private-billing practice, so consultations aren’t bulk billed. If you have a valid Medicare card, a rebate applies to most consults — you pay the fee, and the rebate is returned to you.
No. You can book an appointment with one of our GPs directly, without a referral.
With a valid Medicare card, most standard consultations attract a rebate. You pay at the time of your consultation, and our reception can process the rebate straight afterwards so it goes back to your bank account.
You’re welcome to book with us. Without a valid Medicare card the full fee applies and no rebate is available. We can provide an invoice for your own records.
Face-to-face visits are usually best for your care — they let your doctor examine you, read how you’re feeling, and understand your situation more fully, so most appointments are in person. Telehealth can be arranged if it suits you better; just ask our reception when you book.
Please give us at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to change or cancel, so we can offer the time to someone else. Without this notice, a fee of 60% of the consultation cost applies as a “Did Not Attend” fee. This is payable before your next appointment can be booked.
Please bring your Medicare card (if you have one), any referrals or recent test results, and a list of your current medications.
